Good bad Music for bad, bad Times!

Complex, complicated - and definitely (thank Satan!) not a Metal album.
Roaming and exploring, raping and violating the empty spaces between genres such as Hardrock, Metal, Indierock and Pop like hardly anybody else before. Quite impressive, but definitely not easy going. Metal blockheads will hate this - which is exactly what I was hoping for. GHOST definitely succeed in implementing the postmodern (but thankfully not ironic) satanic image. Songs like "Monstrance Clock" or "Secular Haze" have a presence like hardly anything I can think of, breaking and re-establishing an entire lyrical topic with wit, intelligence and elegance. No ideology, no petty identity scheme comes from this - GHOST leave you in the cold with their concept. This is quite masterful and goes definitely a step further than what's been happening in this field in the past decades. All in all, this might be the beginning of something new in the longer run. I was hoping for such an album for a very long time now.

«Liberal Arts». A highly enjoyable love / coming of age movie. Light as a love affair that went well.

Lanchester's «Capital» might be slightly over-ambitioned, but nevertheless is an enjoyable book about the current financial crisis, as set in a London town street, where the new collides with the old and many things - collapse.
