HARDCORE OR DIE!

This is how you represent 80s Hardcore and its bastard offspring in the 21st century without stepping into the retro trap. Cutting up the sound, playing around with the visuals – and creating something that seems “authentic” yet is a hybrid. The power of this video and its soundtrack is simply overwhelming. Very, very, very well done. And seeing my own band in this makes me very happy too, I must admit.

If I had the money, I’d press a 12″ vinyl of this and include a dvd. Somebody has to do it!

    Were the SoulWax guys actually in any hardcore bands? I know they were in an indie-type band.

    Steve, the drummer of Soulwax was in Chronic Disease and Rise Above, late 80′s Belgian HC bands. He’s mostly responsible for the bands featured in the video.
    I’ve posted about this video a few months ago. Good to see other blogs & messageboards are picking this up. Feel free to spread!

    My congratulations for the guys who did ths amazing video. The most original I’ve seen for a long time (best of 2011,for sure). I couldn’t stop watching it. Got me hoocked to the monitor from start to end.
