I, too saw them at the Cathay, Olympic and other smaller venues. They were playing with bands that I wanted to see…hahahaha. I had to suffer and see them. Chano is right.

not spectacular but good. b-series hardcore as you call it but still so much better than what’s going on in music nowadays. american america has great lyrics. thanks for sharing another record I would have never heard of if it weren’t for goodbadmusic.

The first time I saw Sin 34 play was with Red Cross at the Santa Monica Pier in ’82. I saw them quite a few times in ’83 and their biggest show at the Olympic in ’84 and saw their final gig at the Cathay in the summer of ’84. Julie was one of the well known punks back in those days and I had a few friends who went to school with her at Beverly High School. I used to see Julie around a lot at the Cathay de Grande scene where she hung out with a punk gang called the LADS (Los Angeles Death Squad). Sin 34 got back together a year ago and are playing shows in L.A.

The b-side on my copy is almost unplayable due to those terrible PVC sleeves we used to store records in. You know the ones that destroyed our Koro sleeves ha ha. I like America America and Join the Race is ok but the rest have too many pointless passages in my opinion.
