JERRY’S KIDS- Live in Boston, May Day 1983

jerryskids_taangFucking hell – on this live tape, JERRY’S KIDS are so incredibly tight, it sounds as if somebody had simply put on the “Is this my World” LP and blasts it off over the P.A. Relentless, extremely aggressive and fast, this is my personal fave of the four JERRY’S KIDS live tapes I have in my collection. That has much to do with the fact that they simply rip through almost the entire LP. I can’t think of anything that feels more Hardcore than this. Excellent!!!!

Here’s the track list or what I could make out of it.

I don’t belong
Cracks in the Wall
Tear it up
Build me a Bomb
No time
[?]
Raise the Curtain
Break the Mold
New World
We don’t need it
Vietnam Syndrome
Crucify me

Download the entire live show encoded with 192 kb/s here.

Wow….just wow. Good mid-point to what started as a pretty shitty day. Not unlike Rush, does sorta sound like someone playing the LP over the PA but how many of those bands can you really say that about? Grassy ass.

Holy shit…thanks Erich! One of my all time favorite bands. Just listen to that drumming…it still blows me away.

You mentioned this one a while back and didn’t think you would make it see the light of day. You are full of surprises my friend and this was well worth the wait. Shame it’s at 192 kb/s, it will make it difficult to bootleg. :)

Ahh the tape trading days :) . So much good shit! Erich, did you ever manage to get some good live stuff with United Mutation?

  13. Admin wrote:

I have a UM live tape somewhere. I also found Cause for Alarm, F.U’s, Siege, Zero Boys etc. live tapes :-) But I’ll have to get back to vinyl now before everybody thinks this is a tape blog.

I haven’t heard all of these songs except for Crucify Me. I’ll DL on my laptop when I can get around to it :D

  15. SupermarketZombies wrote:

Sorry for the double comment, but I just saw your comment about the Zero Boys live tape. They’re so freaking awesome. Splish Splash’s opening is incredible.

  16. Piska-Paska wrote:

Talking about Zero Boys I just got the live DVD with the show from Pizza Castle 1981. Awesome so order your copy now plus that you get three exclusive tracks to download.

  17. Admin wrote:

Where did you get the DVDfrom, Peter? Sounds very nice!

Third time i’ll try this. GREAT POST. Thanks for the music

    Vin

don’t worry, i’ve given up on trying to trade links

  19. Admin wrote:

Vin: Why should I bother trading links with you when you post my rips on your blogs? I’m pretty sure this will end up on your blog too, so you’ve got your “link exchange” then.

  20. Vin wrote:

Whoa, the only time i’ve done that was using the NYC Mayhem demo as part of a 3 demo collection because it was a better rip than mine. And i’m pretty sure i gave you full credit. Unless there’s something i’m missing?

No problem man. I love the site and will continue to support it

  21. Admin wrote:

Check your DAMAGE post. I didn’t look further. You don’t need to “support” my blog, thanks.

  22. Vin wrote:

Oh and the Life Sentence LP , sorry. Trust me, i try and keep taking from other blogs at a minimum, and haven’t done it since i started the blog months back, as i’ve learned how to rip stuff and get help from fiends. The whole thing was a learning experience.

    take care
    Vin

  23. Frank Mossi wrote:

Vin I’m sure Erich must be really really happy about the support. how could he run his blog without that kind of support?. hahaha

  24. Vin wrote:

Well, by support i just mean telling people to check out the blog. I see rips i’ve done on other blogs all the time, i take it as compliment.

Brilliant! Best post ever—a live tape we never would have heard otherwise. Fantastic quality as always.

    excellent! thank you!!!!

In all honesty, i got all 3 Damage rips (the 85 demo, Sins, and Off the Board) from the B9 message board, in a thread where people were trading lots of NYHC. If one of those rips was from your site, i had no knowledge of it. You can make an anonymous account on B9 and ask if that album was in that thread, just to see i’m not lying. Once again, sorry. Just trying to clear my name as my blog is far from just a rip off of others work.

here’s the group of links i got it from (most are expired, this has been from site to site on various boards):
