Ebay Scam: SIEGE- Drop dead 7″EP on red vinyl

Just received this link from Jeroen and I thought I once again had to make things clear about the pressings of the SIEGE bootleg:

100 copies were made of each color, a handful were on brown wax, 4 testpressings on black. Then Thomas Mölch pressed another 200 copies on yellow wax, with properly printed labels and behind the backs of everyone.

Poor soul who paid so much money for this on ebay. I sent the seller a message and will include it here once (if) I get an answer, because I’m sure he knew it wasn’t true with the 20 copies.

Proceed to the SIEGE post here.

Its kinda lame I think to insist on the 20 copies thing, even after I mailed the dude.

Here’s the response I got after redirecting him to this blog:

“Hi, look at the new FLEX BOOK. This guy mentioned 100 copies in the old book and 20 copies in the NEW FLEX BOOK…..and all these Hardcore lovers are reading this wonderful FLEX book/bible.”

Wonderful sure, but surely not gospel, as the author would be the first to admit.

There’s been other discussions of this going on in other boards…and you should be proud to know Erich a LOT of people DO believe the numbers you have given over the years!

  5. hi folks,
i owe a full set of this great 7″ incl. brown wax (rumors says only 6) and testpress…and yellow 2nd press. but i must say that i also thought that the FLEX! info’s about the pressing amount’s are right… 20 red, 30 green…rest on blue, 200- 220 yellow (my yellow one has # 206, so may there are a little more than 200).
but if it’s really 100 of each….Burkhard has to re-new the Review of this fanstastic 7″. This Seller on ebay always kicked out recordsfor high values… and i really don’t know why he put an reserve price on it…242$ are more than fine for a red one….
anyway…i bought mine all toghether for 200 euros…except the testpres…. thanx to erich !!

  6. In the meantime, I also checked the Flex book / site: It’s true, Burkhard says 20 on red wax.

I sold these to you, Fab? Lucky bastard, aren’t you 😉 I sold so many records when I desperately needed money over the past 20 years, but for some reason, I couldn’t never pay high prices for OTD etc. records to buy them back, unlike the trillions I’m spending for old Metal records.

Fuck-a-duck, it went for $400.. in the same week that the original zero boys 7″ went for $338. Guess somebody was sleeping.
Sorry Erich, this is it. I’m selling my copy!

  12. Would be really funny to strip a certain seller who constantly claims 200 and 300 copies on almost all his “rare” records. Every record is of course “killer punk, mega rare”. And I’m not talking about my usual target ;).

  13. Yeah, it’s a pity really. But what can you do: People pay what they wanna pay. 400$ for a bootleg must be one of the highest prices ever paid. Crazy. Should have kept a box of these.

The world is a strange place: the original demo tape was sold for 35 bucks or something some months ago. Please tell the kids, that they still can buy tape recorders and an usb record player from Amazon is not the latest technical innovation.
