Oh My Shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember buying a copy of How We Rock when SSD was playing at The Channel, we had heard tracks on the college radio stations and it totally sucked, we jokingly called the album "How We Suck". SSD started going downhill once they added Francois on second guitar. Of course, whatever SSD did, DYS was sure to follow. Straight Edge my ass, they were all alcohlic pill freaks, washed up ex-jocks.

It is indeed hilarious how stuff that sounded so metal to us in 1984 doesn't sound metal at all years later. See also the FU's Do We Really Want to Hurt You. No idea why we accused that record of being metal. Personally I always thought Words That Kill was kick ass hardcore song. But obviously nothing can touch the Get It Away stuff.

Haven't listened to this in years but on a big Boston hardcore kick today and remembered you had posted it. Nowhere near the first 2 records but still not the worst thing ever and generally not that metal. The production makes it sound worse than it is what with those hilarious Dokken wang bar solos and it don't do Springa's weak vocals any favors neither. Newbury Comics must've found a few boxes of these at the warehouse in the late 90s as there was a flood of them in East Coast record stores around then selling for $15 new.

Never liked them, never will. It may be because it always sounds like Springa is straining to take a dump.

Erich these kids are just jealous because you have the extremely limited 'one-finger salute' edition of this record. I think it's a good follow-up to 'get it away' myself.
