Bands like PTL Klub, Cancerous Growth, and Psycho were from the 'wrong side of the tracks', so to speak, and were left to fend for themselves when it came to finding shows to play. I actually thought that PTL Klub were pretty generic for that time, and that's why I didn't like them. It's almost funny how things take a turn, though-- what was generic HC back in the '80s can sound pretty fresh now. I have all of their records & they're all consistently great. While all of the rest of the Boston bands were slowing down & going heavy metal, PTL Klub still flew the flag for straight-forward raging hardcore. They all looked like the sort of guys you wouldn't wanna mess with, too! Yep, this is a great band. I have all of their records & they’re all consistently great.
