I love this album… I’d like to find the Brats “lost tapes copenhagen 1979″ album… Especially if it was available for download… Hope someone can let me know something on that… It’d be very appreciated.

This record is so awesome that I usually listen to it 2x in a row. I am so happy to have come across it. I heard it for the first time last year and realized instantly that it is classic in it’s own right and will stand the test of time (Like it hasn’t already!).

I got this today and played it once and it totally blew my mind. Incredible stuff. Then later when I went to play it again, it became evident that my turntable (which I’ve had for less than a week) was fucked. The belt must be broken. So these files will tide me over until the replacement I bought arrives. It’s an upgrade anyway: Audio-Technica AT-PL50 (cheap modern turntable) to Technics SL-5 (’80s model by probably the foremost brand in turntables).

Thanks again, Erich! Of course, I’ve always been aware that this existed, but had never heard it before now. When I got the first Mercyful Fate demo, it came with some Brats songs on the b side, but they must have been recorded after this lp because they sound more like early Mercyful Fate. This is a lot more punk sounding. Great stuff!

Unlike most commentors here, I never heard this one, and many thanks for that! What a strange artifact for 1980. I can’t read the recording dates in the cover but I’d say there wasn’t so much NWOBHM at hand when these guys recorded this LP, its seems more like a contemporary equivalent of that, coming from similar influences, but more punk of course, which is a sample of that brief era when anything went. Can’t think of much early punk with a clear metal edge, maybe Bernie Tormé (tho I haven’t heard much of his work, I’m thinking only of his tracks in the Live at the Vortex LP)
