Funny to see this EP posted.

In the early 80s Wormer had a pretty large punkscene (made famous by The Ex), about 16 bands in an 8,000 people village.

The boys from Van Alles & Nog Watt (a phrase that loosely translates as Something of everything & a little bit more, ah language) were basically all younger brothers of people playing in the existing punkbands. No one made fun of them and in my memories we were always save even as 12 yr olds because everyone else looked out for us [I did NOT play in the band though, just hang out with them at that time].

The EP falls into this as well. Arranged and paid for by existing punkbands. The mentioning of the ages sort of reflect their mascotte status. The cartoon on the cover was done by their drawing teacher at the village highschool.

The Smallpunx Label refers to their age/stature and is part of the local practice to try and come up with a new label name for every release [record labels being silly anyway].

Regarding the questions above.
Vuilnisbelt = garbage dump [their english wasnt that good]
Huygen-clan = Huygen is a Dutch surname and refers to the guy who was on the village council at that time (and if I remember correctly he lived pretty close to the singer's parents.

OPen those Mad Society tunes up in some music editing software and pitch shift his vocals lower and it improves things a little. On the cover he was emulating Darby with his Adam Ant makeup. I think MS became Youth Gone Mad, but not sure.
