Having grown up with the Necros and lived across the river from Maumee, I can tell you that Dayton is not the nearest big city by far. It is about 2.5-3 hours away. Actually, Maumee is a suburb of Toledo, Ohio, a former large manufacturing city in Northwest Ohio, just 45-50 minutes from Detroit.
That said, nothing was happening in Toledo at the time the Necros got together. Detroit was the closest town that had anything happening at all. There was not a single national or UK punk or new wave band that set foot in Toledo for years, so our closest outlet was Detroit or Ann Arbor. Ask any of the folks in the Detroit HC scene and it was The Necros who got them started.
As for the spoiled rich kid comment, maybe so, but a lot of the kids in the early American HC scene came from suburban homes and weren't crusty homeless punks. That does not make their angst any less valid. The suburbs sucked and it made me the lefty that I am today.

In this case, it's definitely the german bootleg LP from two, three years ago. Sorry, Zach. Hope you didn't spend too much money on it.

well the sleeve doesn't have the AGR logo on the back and there are actually no numbers etched in the run out grooves. there is nothing there, it's weird.

Hard to tell, Zach. The German Press has the AGR logo at least on the backsleeve (don't remember what the labels were like). What's the etching in the run out grooves?

Zach: Mine are green (kinda lime-green) with blue and black imprint. Have never seen different labels as far as the Touch & Go press is concerned, but there's also a AGR license pressing out of Germany. The LP was bootleg a few years ago (in Germany) but that boot really looked bootlegish: Bad cover repro etc.
