WÜRM- s/t 7″EP (SST, USA, 1982)
This is probably the most overlooked early SST release. Do you wanna know why?
The 4 tracks by WÜRM are very chugga-chuggga, lots of Metal and Hardrock poured in way before other bands like SSD or BLACK FLAG or OVERKILL (the SST band) jumped on the same bandwagon. “We’re off” is okay (mainly because it’s short), but the other two tracks really, and I mean reaaaaalllly, do get on your nerves. Especially the wankerish “Now the Time has come” which is complete with cowbell drumming and tries to create a sing-along-atmosphere - horrible.
Interesting side note: Chuck from BLACK FLAG is singing (on the frst track) and playing bass here.

“Time Has Come Today” was a minor hit by the Chambers Brothers - a soul group from the late 60s. The Ramones covered this song as well.

So I looked it up and discovered the Chambers Bros. original which I loved. Apparently Joan Jett covered this as well as the Ramones, Wurm and the Samoans.
