WHITE PIGS- Hit Bonanza Demo Tape (USA, 1985)

This very aggressive, blistering demo tape was sent to me by the WHITE PIGS when I still had my fanzine going and until yesterday, I was sure, the band’s first 7″ was way better than this. Now that Timmy reminded me on posting this for him, I thought, I’d give it a few seconds in my tape deck to see if it’s really worth the work of ripping.
And yes – RIPPING that tape is! Not sure if Timmy, who ain’t no lover of metal, will dig this. I think it’s great. Very bizarre mixing of the bands straight HC days and 666ism, always kinda ironic (“Heavymetal”). I think this works fine, cause there’s an overall layer of musical brutality that sets a frame. And fans of the NWOBHM will notice that some of the metal riffs could come from one of the classic albums of the genre. The vocal job is just amazing and the guitarist tries his best too. Formidable! And the Munsters-theme song is a real classic in my books, remember when I used to play this up and down.
