I’m not sure why this is being referred to as a “mini” LP as it has 18 songs on it. It’s more of a “maxi” LP.

Anyway, I need to defend this record. Everything about this record is what straight edge is about… from the cover to the attitude to the lyrics. It’s my favorite stuff by them.

Regarding “Power”, I asked Al shortly after the release how they came up with the songs to be included since it was so bizarre to me. He told me that all the members got to pick songs to be included and apparently some members didn’t find their later material as embarrassing as they probably should. At no point did he extol the virtues of “Break It Up”.

that sucks about the tracks. i got power because i thought that it would have all the tracks from kids on it. it didn’t. damn you eric.

Why not all tracks: From what I know, former SSD members are not particularly fond of seeing their material floating around without permission. That’s what held me back from posting the entire MLP.

From what I’ve listened to so far, I’d have to say i prefer Get It Away. Why aren’t all the tracks available?

Hey Erich, Great job man. SSD were fucking great. What else needs to be said. “Kids..” and “Get it away” are both classics in my opinion. The track “What if I?” always grabbed me. I like that one..
I have some Springa sightings and recent news on SSD but I’ll leave it for August.
