When everybody thinks the typical big names or the high priced gems (of which they learned a couple months back) were the shit, we know this wasn’t all. GENOA’s first and only (?) release, a 45 rpm Mini-LP (and a bonus flexi), is one fucking powerhouse! I normally don’t like it when too much Metal is into HC or vice versa. I’m a purist, I guess (few exceptions), but GENOA did a masterful and quite eclectic job here! “What a wonderful Life! Ha!!” is a friggin hymn and “Monthly’s Gest” is even better! Machine gun vocals and again quite a bit of craftmanship and musical talent. I don’t know too many records with so much energy captured inbetween the grooves!!
This pearl has been booted in tschörmany some years ago. It came as blue vinyl 7″ and a few of the longer songs were ommited. Here’s the Mini-LP (without the 7″ Bonus-Flexi). Songs were a bit difficult to separate, hope I made no mistake.
