Cover scans not available at the moment Some sources say there were 1000 copies pressed of this, but I doubt it. Dig, who was responsible for the european distribution, once told me there were 250 made. Could be, he meant that Brian Pushead and he had each 250, cause 500, that’s a realistic edition for a mailorder version. However, this 12″ was included as a freebie (7$ for the whole package, kids) and it came with the classic Comp LP “Cleanse the Bacteria”, along with a poster, sticker and an info sheet. The LP was on orange (golden) vinyl.
Not much needs to be said here. When it came out, I liked PART 1 the least of the bunch, but nowadays, I really fancy them. Their 12″ is a great listen, very hypnotic and somber. MOB 47 fucking destroy here (great sound quality!) and so do COC with a slower version of “Prayer”. I never really liked “Emotions” by GENOCIDE EXPRESS, I dunno what’s wrong witth that song. Same for INSTIGATORS who I think were much better a couple years later when they played very solid melodic music (“Phoenix” is a wonderful LP and the take on the forgotten victims of Jack The Ripper in “We, your murdered Sisters”, on the following LP, still runs shivers down my spine). POISON IDEA’s song is good, but kinda misses the tension the band normally has. The dedication at the end is funny though. CIVIL DISSIDENT’s song is decent, but the other two on the LP are much, much better.
This 12″ has been bootleged long time ago. It comes with a nifty two piece cover and has a perfect sound reproduction. Still have some of these at home. The LP was bootleged too; saw it in Germany 2 or 3 years ago. There’s also a japanese press of the LP and I doubt it has ever been released on CD.

Finally!!!!!

Me got the bootleg.
‘I Gotta Right’ is originally by Iggy & The Stooges.
I plan to post the PART 1 album very soon. Anyone has the 7″?
Guitarplayer of Civil Dissident became a cop! I know at least 3 other punkbands of who one member turned cop: The Kids(Belgium), Moral Demolition(Belgium) and Nerorgasmo(Italy). Who knows more??
[Reply]
Ah, of course – “I gotta right”. Should have rung a bell, well well well.
I was going to post PART 1 too, but I’ll leave up to you now. Have the 7″ here, but it’s in the “for sale” box since AGES.
That’s a great idea – running a special on to-become-cops bands, hahaha. You’re serious about CD and Moral Demolition had future cops?? Haha, incredible. On the other hand, the whole HC thing with its focus on cops etc. showed quite a bit of such potential. The late 80s with Revelation bands etc. etc. was the final proof.
Fuck I’m so glad the whole game is over and what’s left of it is a couple of collectors, old farts and their blogs.

excellent. thanks for posting this. want to sell one of your extras???
thanks,
timmy

This is awesome. I’d always heard tell of the bonus 12″ that was supposed to come with this gem of a comp, but never heard it. I’m so glad there’s blogs like this around. One thing particular that i love about yours is the post always have background info about the band/record and you know what you’re talking about. It’s good to read some history about it. Also, you may or may not know this, but Genocide Express were an early line up of the Dutch Agent Orange. Keep it up!

Erich, you’d have been a God if you had posted the LP as well, which is way, way better than this limited 12″.
My copy of the 12″ is on black wax, not orange. So far I’ve never met anybody who has one like mine. Anyone out there?
CIVIL DISSIDENT and MORAL DEMOLITION had members ending up as cops?… Kinda hard to believe.

Timmy (and anybody who wants one): get in touch if you want the bootleg version.
Davis: Thanks much for your kind words. In fact I DO try and write about and post records to which I have some sort of a relation, be it biographical or due to in depth studies. As for Gen. Express and Agent Orange – I knew this. You’ll find the first Agent Orange on this blog, btw.
Kill Ugly Pop: Yep, I’ve too had a black vinyl copy with the 12″. I’m not sure but I think some people maybe wanted to part with the 12″ but not the colored vinyl – that’s how these bastardized (ouch) version came into circulation. And yeah – the LP is BY FAR superior to the 12″. Even though it’s kinda trendy at the moment for people my age to slagg off their musical past and turn onto new (powerpoppish) fads: CTB is a killer comp and will forever be in my top 10 list of immortal comps.

now post the LP? please please please with sugar on top?

Back in 1995, I found a copy of this double LP for only $5 at a great used record store here in Chicago. It had the big, foldout poster and the letter that was personally signed by Pushead but no sticker. I actually traded it away to Martin the former singer for Los Crudos. This was way before eBay mania, so I guess I could’ve gotten a lot of cold hard cash for it these days…oh well…

I have the same album, but I have completely different songs from the bands you posted.
COC: Kiss of death
Mob 47: Fred & Rattvisa, Sjuk Varld, Nedrusta Nu, Snuten Styr
Civil Dissident: 20th centery holocaust pt.2, Death for a buzz
Genocide Express: Genocide Express, factory
Instigators: 53rd state, the blood is on your hands, Free(you’re not)
Part 1: Black Mass
Poison Idea: Typical, Die on your knees
Not sure if this is a bootleg, but it is made in England. This is another sick comp. album that Pushead put out. Cheers for posting it.

Anonymous above: Read closely. You’ve got the regular LP – this is the BONUS 12″.

Well that’s stoked, never knew that there was any other Clense LP’s out there. I tip my cap to ya.

Hey,
As the former MoralDemolition Bass-player, I can inform you that none of us MD members ended up as a cop. Where does such rumour come from.
Check out the “new” Moral Demolition Release : Live Noiz, a live album on vinyl.

My vinyl is blue, not black. I have not seen any write up on this.
[Reply]
@ Loves: I’ve never seen or heard of a blue vinyl press of this bonus 12″. I have a blue and an orange press of the LP.

Got the black vinyl version of the regular album. Bought mine in a record store in the mid 80s and never knew it came with a bonus 12″.
[Reply]
yeah, i got my black vinyl version back in 86 at a local shop…im guessing mr schroeder did a bunch of colored vinyl initially, and then did black vinyl for a bit after that. most of my local friends have it on black. this version was in all the local shops throughout the late-80′s… my copy is very obvoiusly a USA pressing which looks like it was done on the same materials(ie- vinny quality, label paper, etc)ive seen on anything done at the California pressing plant called Rainbow. one specific local friend of mine has a copy which the vinyl is done EXACTLY as any French record ive ever seen as produced by MPO. these 2 copies both have the MPO matrix in the deadwax, so im sure theres many thousands on black vinyl, pressed at 2 different times by 2 different places; but using the same plates…this bonus 12″ was limited to mailorder only from what i can remember, and was a very small number…
if you have any bootlesg left of this bonus 12″, id like to know how to get one so i can keep it with my orig LP…

After first obtaining a copy of Cleanse the Bacteria back in high school (Christ, that was a long time ago), I dug the Civil Dissident tracks so much, I always wanted to get more of their material, but I never got around to it. Well, at the end of this past year I finally got the tracks from the First Blood 7″, and now with this, which I didn’t even know existed, my C. Dissident collection stands at a whopping 6 tracks! Wheeeeeee!
Seriously, though, thanks for posting this, and for all the other insanely cool shit you put out there.
