And here’s, as promised, the follow up to “Schiavi nella citta” – PAPI, QUEENS, REICHSKANZLERS, PRESIDENNTI has more an international flair to it and seriously, if this ain’t one of the best comps ever then I don’t know. The italian bands hereon are just incredible: IRAH deliver one truely epic trippy tune, sloppily played but filled with so much tension, you wanna explode! QUINTO BRACCIO were one of the best italian bands and it’s a shame they only had some tape releases (which I’ll post one day or another) – “Mai piu tortura” is nothing but an anthem against torture (the italian police used to torture political prisoners during the years of social unrest in Italy from the 60s to the 80s, and beyond, as reported on many occassions). SOTTOCULTURA deliver the angriest, loudest song on this comp – and the title “Attack” just fits perfectly. “Lotta per il potere” by KOLLEKTIVO is of the same quality – it’s insane what these bands did in 1982! The non-italian bands are finlands KAAOS with one of their typical songs, but the tape recorder quality gives it a lot of atmosphere! Same for STROMSPERRE, an obscure german band from berlin. But the standout on this über-comp, the über-hit, the ultimate masterpiece is “Revolution Part 10″ by england’s TOTAL CHAOS (who knows more about them?). How they manage to spill out so much power, anger and passion with just vocals an incredible drumming is beyond me. One of the few songs that manage to evoke the memories of how I used to feel about music and politics and all that crap I wasted so many years on.
SET YOURSELF ON FIRE!
IRAH: Fotti il sistema.mp3
TOTAL CHAOS: Revolution Part 10.mp3
QUINTO BRACCIO: Mai piu tortura.mp3
STROMSPERRE: Alltag.mp3
KAAOS: Isanmaalliset.mp3
SOTTOCULTURA: Attack.mp3
KOLLEKTIVO: Lotta per il potere.mp3
PS: A detail from the inside of the booklet cover: Isn’t it weird to see, looking back, how some practices seem very similiar to magical practices? Here we have an example of banning evil spirits.

There was Total Chaos from Lancashire,England contributed to Bullshit Detector Vol 2. I think they made two 7″s. Could be mistaken.

great songs! thanks for another monster!

Yep, Schweden Peter is right. The 7″s are ‘There are no Russians in Afghanistan’ and ‘Factory man’. They did a 12″ called ‘Fields and bombs’ but this one is more experimental.
Quinto Braccio is pré-Negazione. Sottocultura’s song reminds me of the song with the same name of Rappresaglia.

Did Total Chaos play just drum and vocals? D&V–another Bullshit Detector debut band–or should I say “Drums & Vocals” played like this not surprisingly
