When I first heard from the australian band CONTROLLED BY FEAR, I was sure they had to be great since the blokes named it after one of my old song titles. And right I was – the two demo tapes were hot! But after they changed the band name to RUPTURE, they got better yet! Their first release was a 7″ on a swiss label, followed by a split LP with germany’s BELCHING BEAT. Then I dropped them a line to ask them for a 7″ on my label – and when I received the advance tape a few months later, I was literally blown away! I still think this is one of the greatest records I ever put out and surely it was the band’s best release (even though they had some other fine releases, like the first split 7″ and the crazy later stuff). Relentless power at high speed and totally pissed off lyrics. Highlight might be the cover version of HUVUDTVÄTT’s “With Medication”.
Testpressings came on clear blue vinyl and sounded a bit rougher yet. Go find one, if you can.

Those Demos still are around somewhere, I suppose. I will eventually post some of them. Many people asked me to sell this testpressing but if the offer’s not extremely good, I will stick to it. Have sold too many of my old records already …
