Peter from KILLED BY DEATH RECORDS and I thought we’d do something special here. Since this is actually a split EP, why not make it a Split Post? While Peter got the HUVUDTVÄTT Side on his blog, I herewith offer the PICNIC BOYS side!
I don’t know nothzing about PICNIC BOYS and neither does Peter. The band presumably came from the south of Sweden, that I can tell by their accent. Peter thinks so too. We both speak swedish fluently. Mine has more of a Hip Hop flow while Peters flows in both directions. So do the PICNIC BOYS: They flow towards Pop as they flow towards Meditation Music and honestly, I love them very dearly. Sure, Peter picked the better side, but then again, he’s older too and I’m prettier.
Fun trivia: My copy is numbered 167, Peter’s 170. This means something, this is not just “coincidence”.

They do.T hey’re just flabbergasted and too impressed by it so it might takes a couple of days before they manage to pick up their jaws from the ground.

It did came with a “Picnic boys”-cover as well but it seems very hard to find!
The drummer in Huvudtvatt (and also Massmedia), Patrik Tanner, is playing guitar and singing in Picnic boys, so I guess this band also came from Sundsvall.

Peter and I kept guessing about the cover since we both seemed to remember a PC cover but weren’t sure about it anymore (Alzheimer’s disease). So it looks like I better kept one of them …. Can you provide a scan?

The 1st press of the record has the Huvudvatt sleeve which is widely known and then you have a PICNIC BOYS sleeve, that is white and pink, I’ll try to get a picture of it.

Thank you Fettah! I’ve never seen that sleeve before, but I think I used to have a copy with some kind of PICNIC BOYS sleeve long time ago. So maybe there’s a third cover?

ah never heard of a third one, I asked around when I heard the record and only two seem to exist, a one-time press of 610 I believe so probably split between picnic boys and huvudtvatt or maybe they did something à la Impact//Eu’s Arse split 7″ where each band has his own sleeve but I doubt that…
