My favourite ever female HC vocalist must be Donna Damage from NO THANKS! Whenever I play the ep, I can’t help of getting ideas of her, I must confess. The band had a track on one of them Big City 7″ comps and released a quite rare 7″EP (of which some are rumored to be on red vinyl). Absolutely over-the-top vocals, power and speed make this one of the most ferocious 1983 releases that blows away most of its contemporaries in terms of rawness and anger!
Donna is still around and has a myspace site. You MUST go there to hear some of the incredible demo tracks from NO THANKS from 1982 that are even faster and more blistering than the 7″!
The 7″ was re-released I think by Donna herself, so I’m only giving you a part of it here. Prepare to walk back home as this will blow you away!

I saw where Donna Damage said there are only 25 red vinyl copies in existence. I know of 2…the one on popsike and I have seen one in person and even held it in my dirty little hands hahaha.
This 7″ is without a doubt of the best to come out of NYC scene .
